As You Remembered

Kristin Anahit Cass

I’m a Chicago-based, SWANA-identifying artist. My artistic practice explores the intensely personal spaces where our lives intersect with others, considering questions of social justice and human rights, through photography, video, writing, and other media. My work often questions whose stories are told and why. In addition to my arts education, I trained as a lawyer giving me a unique perspective on the injustices and challenges that so many people and communities in our world face every day. Although I examine difficult subjects, I seek the beauty of humanity and the creative forces we gather in troubled times. I believe art can be a catalyst for change.
