Mac Blackout

Mac Blackout is a Chicago-based visual artist, musician, and a key figure in the city’s art and music scenes. Mac works in multiple disciplines, creating art that radiates presence and transforms the world around us.

Mac earned his BFA in 1999 from the Herron School of art in Indianapolis. In recent years he has painted murals throughout the Midwest. His large-scale mural work adorns the walls of WNDR Museum, beloved Chicago music venues like Lincoln Hall, Sleeping Village, as well as many other walls public and private throughout the city. In 2020 Mac’s work was included in The Long Dream exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago.
