Megan M. Rivera

Elgin, Illinois

I create with traditional mediums and paint on any blank surface I can get my hands on. Beyond acrylics, Posca and Molotow paint markers are my go-to favorite tools. I add details compulsively and paint markers are perfect for tiny, calculated marks. Nature and fashion influence everything I create. I love twisting classic fashion motifs into my own patterns and blending them into boldly colorful compositions. Functional art one can wear or use interests me most of all, especially when I can blend art with my love of fashion. These pieces mark my transition from a colored pencil artist to a painter.
